Team Torchwood (co-opted) to the rescue! I still can't decide whether to trust Johnson or not... This is tensely, thoroughly enjoyable.

*glee* When I was writing this, I didn't know whose side Johnson was on for most of it, so yeah.

I really think your John Hart is so in character. He is the bloke who killed Gwen and Jack, but then does something helpful to serve some agenda of his.

I really love Ianto taking control there and sorting out his step kids.

He's very interesting to write. I hate him as a person, but love him as someone to throw into a fic to see what the other characters do. :)

OK, now I get it. John is going to be a mercenary in this. That's more like it. I hope Ianto manages to find some way to pay him!

Ianto really is indebted to John Hart. That isn't good. At least Alice and Stephen are out of the cell.

Oh, the team is almost free. I just hope that something doesn't happen to muck it all up.

Eee. I'm trying to space this out because you're not posting again until next week. I liked this part. John was just the perfect amount of creepy and useful. I like your nod to CoE with the funeral director bit.

Little worried about what Ianto's going to have to bargain to keep Hart on their side.

Also, I have to say, having everyone THINK Ianto's dead achieves everything that CoE wanted to achieve by killing without, you know, killing yet another cast member. Not saying someone won't still die, but it does give people at least some hope. Compare that to Day Five when everyone KNEW there wasn't a happy ending and you get some good storytelling.

Spacing out is a good idea. :)

I like your nod to CoE with the funeral director bit.

I am glad! Since the fake third season is a re-imagining of CoE, I've been trying to keep parts of it grounded with pieces of that canon.

Also, I have to say, having everyone THINK Ianto's dead achieves everything that CoE wanted to achieve by killing without, you know, killing yet another cast member.

THANK YOU! :D
