Already read and commented over on ff.net, but just had to read again.
Jack's 'It'll all turn out right in the end' brand of parenting fits the character perfectly, but it's Ianto and his struggle to be a good parent while doubting everything he does and worring about everything his daughter does that makes this fic so irresistible. He thinks he's doing a terrible job, yet he understands Theia better than anyone else does. He's doing a lot better than he realises.
:D I think they'd make a very interesting blend in terms of how to raise kids. Someone ought to be the one reminding the child to enjoy every moment of life, and someone ought to make sure the child bathes regularly and eats proper meals.
Thanks for reading (and saying hi) in both places!
I couldn't resist re-reading, the whole fic completely charmed me. Frazzled Ianto justs makes me want to hug him. He has enough trouble keeping Jack organised and now he has a mini-Jack to deal with as well, and Jack's NOT helping in any useful way by being so unconcerned by everything. Ianto has a protective streak when it comes to those he loves, but I guess it goes into overdrive with Theia because she's so little and needs more protection.
