Oh lord. I needed a laugh, and this was perfect. Jack and the paperwork, Tosh trying to figure out the physics, Gwen bitching over the mirrors... And of course, Ianto would figure out the perfect formula for blood cocoa. All in all, the perfect Torchwood happy ending ;}

I also tend to fall into fandoms after the heyday (even here, a lot of people were bailing just as I jumped in) so I know exactly what you mean by finding people who are still here! And writing! It's weird! :D

I don't know how you manage to get happy endings in Torchwood with it making them feel "cheap" or too schmoopy

Whereas I'm sure every ending I write is far too unbelievably happy, and nobody will like it, and I'll have to run away and eat worms (or something -- my mental landscape tends towards the melodramatic). But yay! I am glad this one works, and the others as well, because I do love happy endings even if I make the characters go through a lot to get there. Thanks for joining along!

Hee! I've giggled through this multiple times now and it just keeps getting better. Love the unexpected little details about being a vampire. Ianto's efficiency never ceases to astound me. And this: Gwen had reread the bit about "bathing in the blood of virgins" until "but only hot ones" clued her in that Owen had been messing about with Ianto's document files again. Ha! Too funny. I really enjoy eavesdropping on Jack and Ianto, I must say. Mmmhmmm.
