Each one occasionally broke off from what he was doing to steal bits off the other's plate, or to watch the other in addled amazement for a moment as if he couldn't believe his luck.

Aww... That is quite sappy, but I adore it. Hee.

I did wonder why Jack wasn't allowed to hold Anwen. Glad you explained it in "Retirement."

My Little Pony cake! ♥ But I do love Jack's poignant exit.

I had a big lump in my throat by the end of "Anniversary." I wanted to be happy that Ianto lived a full life with unicorns and then the travelling, but John's shadow was pretty large.

"Going Away' made it all better. I like that Ianto can throw a wrench into John's plans.

The end is perfect and beautiful. Thank you for these stories.

:D Thanks. I've noticed generally two reactions at weddings, the "OMG, what have I done?" and the "OMG, they actually said yes, I am the luckiest kitty EVER!"

Glad that worked!

Pony cake made me very happy to play with. :D

Yeah, it got a little maudlin. When I was writing the set-up in the previous fic, it was with the idea that, sixty years later, Ianto would have lived his life and passed on. But if he was still alive to see Jack's departure, it'd kill him. So.

Thanks so much for reading!

I loved it all, as I always do when you write. I was quite choked up at the idea that CJHart was going to muss it all up by TAKING Jack away! because of some silly bargain, or bet, or whatever, but you solved it beautifully! Very big thank yous for that lovely description of Ianto (old) and Jack (still 40), and still so intimate.

Thanks! Originally the timing wasn't going to be an issue, because Jack intentionally picked a long span of time with the notion Ianto would have lived his life and died by then. And yet.
