Oh, yes!

YesAsia cancelled my order, like many others, I know.
I wrote an email to them, complaining, because after 8 years as their customer a simple email of cancelation of a PREorder was a shitty thing to do.
This is their reply:

Thank you for writing to YesAsia.com ( Read more... )

yesasia, scazzo, wtf!!!, sfogo, schifo

ahh.. That happened to me and my friend when we ordered Dear Snow LE. We were so excited to get it only to receive an email saying it was cancelled due to limited supply. bastards!

really? this is the very first time I heard of something like that in ages o_O
I'm really sorry for you, I know what is it like... to hurry to mend for their stupidity ._.
Now I'm really pissed off, I don't think they'll see my money in the future... I need reliable sources for my shopping U_U

Yeah. but so far the DVDs we ordered came. I'm still pissed with what happened to my Dear Snow LE. :(

CDJapan is cheaper but the shipping fee is the killer. at least in my country. The shipping fee is higher than the product. XD

it's the same for me, to get a single I always choose SAL because any other option is too expensive to afford D:

My gosh. Thank god I don't order from YA. I prefer cdj anytime! Their service is really good :D

I use to prefer save money, sadly... cdjapan has more expensive fees for shipping (don't forget Italy is way too far from Japan than your country, Mui ._. ), plus they declare the correct amount of the packaging... for a single, it's not a big deal, but for other stuff this means: additional custom fees, because Italy is such a wrong place to be when you need something shipped from outside EU. T___T
And this is my big deal... living in an unreliable country... D:

Hehe, I remember you telling me that before. But somehow I don't really seem to trust YA. I signed up with an account with amazon.jp too, just in case I need to use it next year ^^

amazon.jp is even worst for us in Italy... it accepts only certain cards (and I don't have a credit card they consider decent :P) and they ship only via EMS. So custums guaranteed and huge shipping cost. Do not want ._.

I had the feeling we talked about this previously... YA was a great place to shop for ages, but now... I can't recommend it for preorders.

Been a customer of YA for about the same time...if not longer and I've never had anything but the best service from them o_O...And never had them cancel a pre-order from them....If anything you can blame the growing popullous of asian fans out there. CDJ is equally as good, but as you said expensive :\...A lot of other sites you have to watch out for bootleg stuff too :\...Which is SO annoying since it shouldn't be happening.

Sorry you've had such a bad experience...But it does stand first come first served, though would have been nice to have the limit in which they had ordered cut off before taking more orders than they anticipated. You'd probably get the same from CDJ if you had ordered there too \:

I think a reliable website takes orders only for the number of items he is able to cover. To me it's unaccettable that they wants us to wait until the day of the release in order to find if we are lucky enough to have our items shipped... because I don't place a preorder to be in pain for months... If they are not sure about numbers, they have to set the preorder on a lower base... after all, if they have a surplus of stock, they need only to announce it when the item is alavaible... since it's a limited edition, pleople will hurry and buy it.

I wasn't able to find a single complain about CDJ and cancellations of preoders... so I don't think I had to end in the same way. They have a limited stock for preorders but they don't fail their customers like YA.

oh I don't disagree there, problem is that they don't really know how many they will be able to cover when it is a limited pressing, unless the supplier/company has made it clear that there are only 1000 version/releases of first press....Though would have probably been a bit better to limit the amount of pre-orders able to be made and another one else who is interested has to give email to be notified if any are left other.

I also believe that yes asia in based in China (and has bases in other countries too now)...CDJ is based in Japan....Don't know if that really will make a difference.
