Erm... that's high praise indeed. I like Arthur/Ariadne and Ariadne/Robert - but both relationships have issues that need to be worked out. As you can see.

It was supposed to be an Arthur/Ariadne, with a side helping of Ariadne/Robert. It's morphed into one giant triangle, in what I hope is a credible way.

One of the reasons that it takes me so long to post between chapters is that I find myself thinking "Would they say that?". I mean, sure I'm the author, but if it sounds/feels too forced then it doesn't work for me.

Just FYI, we will have more Eames in the next chapter. I want to write some smarmy Eames.

I know! A/A has so many issues for writers to exploit! But like a lyric out of a favorite song of mine Love without pain isn't really romance.

I doubt anyone would complain about more updates. Even I wouldn't. Bah on real life.

Now I'm off to figure out if Arthur deserves to catch a break in the next chapter. Decisions, decisions.

As I posted above, I didn't mean it to be a love triangle, but it certainly has developed that way. But don't they say the road to hell is paved with good intentions?

I want to make this an 8 or 9 part fic, so we're getting to the meat of all the dynamics. I've got 2/4 scenes for the next chapter in my head.

I have to say that I am undecided as to the ending.

I see what you mean. I never gave much thought to a Adriadne/Fischer pairing, but surprisingly, I absolutely adore this. When I first started reading all I could think about was how much I wanted Arthur to go get his girl lol, but now..I'm REALLY liking Ariadne/Robert. Honestly by now, whoever she ends up with would still be perfect to me. Im so excited :)

I'm also undecided about the ending as well. I thought it would definitely be A/A. But I remember what they said about Casablanca - neither the writers nor the actors knew who Ingrid Bergman's character was going to end up with - either Humphrey Bogart's character or that other dude, so she didn't know who to look at "more fondly". I think the ambivalence made all the acting all the more real.

If this keeps up, I might have to write TWO endings.

I'm slow to post, which makes me sad but its mainly a time constraint at this point. Ah, real life.

I know... But I figure Arthur is like a slow burn. Takes him a while to light a fire under his butt, but once its lit.... well, watch out!

It is an A/A fic, but I am toying with the idea of a 2nd, alternative ending. Just to keep all fandoms happy.
