Oh, Sho, you self-centered jerk. You have a wonderful handle on his character.

Thanks! He is a jerk, but that's part of the reason I like his character. It's a little more real.

I think Shou's love for Kyoko is very immature, but that's part of the beauty. He doesn't understand a lot of things and he has some serious growing up to do.

I can wait until we seem him next in the series.

Agreed!

I *despised* Sho in the first volume on the manga, but he's really grown on me. I still think he's a jerk, but I love how he and Kyoko both clash against and complement one another. I have more fun writing and reading fanfic about the two of them than I do about Ren.

Seriously! Writing Shou/Kyoko is much... zingier because they fight so much. Ren & Kyoko strikes me as too much angst and emo! Which I do love to do, but there's only so much angst I can take.

Shou is like a little kid. Which makes it easier to have scenarios with him involved because he's easy to manipulate. Ren is way more internalized and logical, which sometimes, makes him no fun at all.

I thought these little snippets really did give a clear picture of him >.< And they were so well inter-linked, too! Very concise, yet still meaningful.

A skewed picture perhaps? I think I'm much more sympathetic than the creator.

And other fans.

I might write a 50 sentence with Kyoko and Ren.

Yeah, you're right. I don't know why it's Tsugura in my head. In any case, it's Ren. :)

wow. I love your depiction of Sho and his inner workings. This was a really great read, I loved the last few lines. I really think the manga could go with either Kyoko ending up with Sho, Ren or even neither. But I do find the manga is better when Sho is around, and he is changing in thought and I think by the end, they'll at least be friends if not perhaps try to start something more.

Same here. It's much more entertaining! I LOVED the volumes with the Vie Ghoul arc, and how Sho was so worried about Kyoko. It was so cute.

Personally, I think the greatness of Sho is overlooked - his egotism, his selfishness, his almost reluctant desire to admit that he feels anything for Kyoko. I like his ruthless dedication, his desperate attempts to remain in control, and how he and Kyoko fight.
