I like it. I like it a lot. The characterization is spot-on, and I like the idea that he knew she was there.

I like them both alot.

I had the intention of making it fluffier. But I think that might have to wait for *another* fic.

Yes, I am diseased enough to think about writing another Soi/Ukitake. I think they'd be cute together. Despite the fact that Soi has a huge, mondo crush on Yoruichi.

Yeah, I figured it was pretty rare. It was mentioned eons ago as a cracktastic pairing in a comment... and my mind fixated on it. Eventually, I turned it around in my head until I got something.

I might post another fic, but don't hold your breath. I'm notoriously ill-timed with such things.

This was absolutely lovely. The characterization was spot on. I love how you added humor to the relationship too. I think they'd make a wonderful couple because they seem to see things in such a different way but at the same time, like you said, there's a lot of parallels in their lives.

Thx for sharing. It was a great read.
