What a touching story. The mix of realism and fantasy, the excellent writing... I was crying on and off throughout, honestly, haha and had to go back to reread the beginning a few times, too -- I really appreciate the way you intermingled Jared's experiences in his alternate lives. You explored so many interesting angles here, and their relationship was believeable, adorable, hot, all that great stuff :) And the beauty of the artwork, wow. I cant' stop admiring it. This story was very moving! The way you left if open to the reader to decide whether Jared had lived this second life, or if it had all been a last dream as he passed on, was such a good idea. It made the story that much more bittersweet. It was heartbreaking that he chose Jensen over his beloved child, but understandable. And that he also was willing to take whatever Jensen wanted to give because he loved him so much had me tearing up as well. I think what was really the most beautiful aspect of the story was the one, last, perfect day they had together.

Well, since I'm obviously a huge sap as well, I'm determined to believe that the second life did actually happen, because I want those two to have had their perfect life together, as a couple! Damn you for making me doubt again with the epilogue...! ;) I do appreciate the ambivalence, but I'm just not ready to dismiss the lovely fantasy as just that... :)

In any case, they're getting their eternity together so that makes me ridiculously happy. I so love the soulmate trope, and you did a wonderful job with it. This fic was a joy to read, it made me smile and cry and angst and hope and just gave me so many feels. I really loved it, it was intriguing and moving from start to finish. Thank you!
