At the end, Maria greets an employee on the way to Fury and for a few seconds, I thought it was Phil...until i remembered...

The main thing is that Phil is not just a movie character anymore, he's a full-fledged comic book character with appearances in non-movie issues and the animated series, Ultimate Spider-man. As RDJ said, a comic book character never actually dies, they just get recast.

Oh this is just so wonderful! I love Phil's confusion when Clint just talks to him the way he'd been talking to the 'ghost'. I love Tony's protectiveness. And I really really love the way you wrote Clint. Coulson/Hawkeye is my new favourite pairing, and when combined with fixit (because Coulson is *so* not really dead) it's just perfect!
