You can't blame yourself, Piccolo. I mean, some things are just beyond our control. You didn't kill him. Nature killed him.

And why didn't the boy's parents go out as well if it was a bad night? His father should have been with him.

You did what you could. Starving yourself is not going to help you any.

We're all part of nature, so they way I see it, a part of me killed him. And while his parents may be somewhat at fault, I was right there. As soon as it was a possibility for me to save him, it became my responsibility to save him. Heh, besides Nameks, or monsters, whatever word you prefer, don't each much anyways.

Look, those people in the village are ignorant. I don't think you're a monster. No one here thinks you're a monster.

How many times have you been there with Gokou and the others when it came to saving the world?

And how many times was I powerful enough to save it? Without Goku and the others my attempts to save the world would have been futile. Yet if I were to take myself out of the picture....

I've been around Goku too long to not believe he couldn't have saved the world himself. He has done it many times over.

Piccolo, I-I'm so sorry to hear that happened. But don't think that it's your fault, 'cause it isn't. No matter how hard we all train there will always be things that are out of our hands.

But for as hard as we do train...

...You think it would amount to something.

A lot of times it does. But strong is not omnipotent. We can't save everyone.

I didn't want to save everyone this time. I wanted to save one person. One kid. One kid...

Clearly you ran into a village full of idiots. If you were really the monster that had hurt the boy, why did you run to get help?

Honestly, the planet isn't worth saving sometimes.

All life is worth saving. I don't fault the boy if he had stupid relatives. I don't fault him at all. The fault is mine because I wasn't stupid, and beI should have been able to save him because of that.

Gosh, Piccolo, that really stinks. I know this must be hard on you.

But you're not a monster, you did what you could. It's not your fault those people took it wrong. You tried to save him.
