Notes: coastal_physics suggested 'hot copper pipes' when cornered and poked with a stick. Pre-campaign, prompted by a poll response.

Her skin is sticky beneath the cloth of her dress not from exertion but simple temperature. )

*estimates* 500 years? :) (born in 1200s northern France-ish, made the deal with the goddess a few hundred years in, call this sometime like late 1800s . . .)

Also, I love the sense of time and connection in this. This isn't just one war where she's come in and will be gone again. She's been here before, and left people to be collected later. It's neat.

i like listening to her.

it's perfect really. the celebration is the fitting close of a cycle. and then a new one builds, and another war starts and ends and the celebration again. i could see why she'd enjoy this as much as any other part.

and that last line is killer.
