I like the color dichotomy between under and outer layers. Is that something she normally does, or is doing to match Trickwood sensibilities? How often does she wear such obviously water-oriented colors/designs on the outside, rather than the inner layers?

I like the way this meshes with the older piece. They fit together well, in my brain.

I could feel the design of the spell that moved us, but it wouldn't have done me much good in the time I had. Good thing I didn't mind being tossed around like a wood chip in a hurricane.

Glad he doesn't mind it. Waugh. *twitch* Like the description of it, though.

...and Geoffrey was always tied up in organization. Which ordinarily would've meant I'd have spent significant time around the Prince Geoffrey, but I hadn't. Never let it be said I can't keep an end goal in mind.

*cackle* Must not fuck with him, must not fuck with him, must not fuck with him, want the girl, must not fuck with him...

She's going for the warm browns in the outer layers in deference to Trickwood sensibilities. I'm not sure about the dichotomy, or how frequently she dresses to that level of dichotomy. Will have to peer at her for it. :)

Glad he doesn't mind it.

Heee! Yeah, this is one of the spots where his adrenaline junkie tendencies show. :)

Not fucking with Geoffrey was REALLY HARD, okay?

Hello, ocean? Nice way of slipping that in, if so.

:D \o/

Good fox.

I'm starting to try to mix in that trope/expectation into this narrative, and how he's Not following it. It's really kind of interesting to do. :)

She is. :)

If Ulysse does, he never, ever says so directly. Which doesn't mean he doesn't; he and Arianhrod are among the group of Sabaeys who keep secrets.

The mage clothes always delight me.

I want to know what question she asked. And what face/form he's wearing.

I was going to meet her brothers

*cackle* It is highly entertaining to see the fox(es) having an internal flail moment.

I read that as Gibbet-son for a moment. Which involved a rather severe o_O moment in my head (along with Wish laughing at me).

I couldn't really even see the beacon her brother lit for her, or the structure of the rope holding me. I could feel the design of the spell that moved us, but it wouldn't have done me much good in the time I had.

They are a very scary mage family. [/solemn]

I presume this is because his lady love might have been amused by the resulting disorganization on a purely artistic level but she'd have fried him for giving her all this work at fixing it again?

This one's pretty description heavy; I'll be spreading things out more come the editing cycle. Happy to hear it's working in some respect, though.

The question is 'Do you have a face you can wear for a few days?' (the two pieces have the same conversation chunk, for reference), and I suspect, very strongly, that this is the face, the skin he wore when he was a rock star.

*laughs!* No, he's borrowing guitar names. :)

They are a bit, that. *solemn*

Mostly she'd have fried him for fucking with her brothers' project[s]. With extreme prejudice. >.>

When Arianhrod''s NOT the most dangerous thing in a given space, things are potentially Extremely Interesting.

BWAHAHAHA. Ahem.

:D I love the complete voice of experience there.

Huh. Go, me?

I have this mental image of you putting each sentence on a card and arranging them till you're satisfied.

Ah, I should have gone back and read. Distracted by other things.

I figured that out after I got my brain dis-entangled from the Gibbet-son mis-read. There was just a considerable amount of ". . . now there's a name to impress the potential in-laws with!"

I love the "SHINY!" underlying his voice about them.

Because, if for no other reason, then she'd have to listen to them whine complain about the mess(es).

I wonder how often those Extremely Interesting Situation result in "Wait, wasn't there a [significant geographic feature] there earlier? And where did Arianhrod go?" [/idly]

His students are mostly going "That's not FUNNY, sir!"

Boys, it is only valid if SHE does it.

Well, among the types of character I like, the ones who make significant relationship gestures with or without directly speaking about it tend to linger in my brain.

Not likely. Too much hassle to get a road closure permit. *dry*

:)

I'm kind of discovering that Ulysse is a real fan of nuance. Which I hadn't entirely expected, given t'other things I knew about him, but that bit where he's spent a lot of time in Phoebe's company over the centuries really should have tipped me off....

There's a tiny element of terror under there, too, which sort of goes with the sweet.
