Title: plans, plans, plans
'Verse/characters: Witches' Horses; Andrei Andreievich, (Sinclair)
Prompt: 92A "sleep"
Word Count: 184
Notes: follows hammers and wrenches reasonably directly. Prompted by a poll response.

"The bastard's got to sleep sometime. Get everyone's ear, tell them to keep an eye on where he goes, who he talks to, where he's eating, where he's staying."

"What if he's sleeping with the horse?"

Andrei Andreievich gave his subordinate a withering look. "Nobody sleeps on their horse when they've got a bed available. Horses never have the space for luxury."

"She's the size of a five-man horse," the other man persisted, "and he's the only one moving around her. She's got to be a custom rig inside."

"--or he's looking for crew," Andrei said suddenly, "we can work with that--find out who's sniffing at him, when you get where he's sleeping. If he won't pay up at a midnight visit, we'll find out what that horse is carrying when she's out in the black, and no-one the wiser."

His two companions--one of whom was only semi-conscious, as yet, and the other deeply worried--exchanged a glance.

The man who'd been hit with the business end of a hammer made the sign of the Thunderer, where Andrei couldn't see. The other one nodded acknowledgment.
