Happy Birthday! I loved the way you put these together, moving from the temptation to the giving in. It captures what we know about House - that he considers painkiller addiction the lesser of two evils - and the starkness of the medical facts counterbalances the emotion really well.

Onwards and downwards - 50 words next? It's got to be possible...
