a sudden feeling of blahhh...

It rolled in like a fog. A general feeling of waa-waa*sad trumpet* I've been trying very hard not to think about menial my job can be. Mostly I find distraction among my co-workers. Still, it can creep up on me ( Read more... )

school, frustration, annoyed, sadness, fear, thoughts, work, self-conscious

I guess in the scheme of things my job is important, but we are made to feel very menial by the hospital system. I can't take it anymore.
I know how "not thinking" makes you feel kind of slow and dumb, I feel the same way.. I finally got tired of it and I am going to register for classes. I do not love my job.

I know that higher paying jobs can still make you feel like poo.:( For me the $ is just an irritating side effect-I just want to be able to do a little better than paycheck to paycheck. But withihout schooling, retail level stuff is all you can really get.
What do you want to take?

Cool, I wish I was better with computers, because I find it so interesting, but I got such poor marks in my CG12 class. I think I'm just too much of a tactile learner.

Judy don't worry!!!
I study and isn't this very burdensome, maybe before examination session and I have a little less time.
I met there many good friends and like study.
You will have lucky if your employer will pay for your education
2 or 4 years isn't long if you will live 80 years even if you will work only 20 years yet.
New education or new course give you more chance on better job...
Look at emigres they know that education and good profession this is half success.
We have lucky if we work and do this what we like, but I think that the lucky has only 1 on 5 workers.

In the big picture 4 yrs. is not long at all. :) But when you work in a retail level job, so much can change very quickly.
I know that it's really neat the my job will reimburse tuition...what I'm worried about is, what if I lose this job somehow? That is what I mean when I say four years is a long time.

Yeah, you have right, one a year without job is longer than 4 years...
I study with my friend from my class (from studies)one told me that now more rescuers is employed on a contract. It is worse because they don't have holiday (urlope) and have to pay their own insurance.
I want to be rescuer but the fact is a little differ than two years ago when I was begun my study. Sometimes think whether I should change job if finish my school whether not.
In season at work here where I work now can earn more... than a rescuer.
Now is the time saving by governments in Europe, and institutions have stopped the increase (payments for workers)
I want to be Rescuer but if I will earn less probably I will stay in the job where I work now.
Life isn't easy sometimes we have to give up of something what we like that live better...

Very true. It does depend on money too. I wish it didn't. I don't mind making a low wage if I can sustain myself. But I can't. At least you have some valuable skills as a rescuer, perhaps it could help into another job?

"I'm also trying to think of jobs that have some kind of decent pay and stability to them. Something that I can perhaps gets certification for in a shorter timeline 2-3 yrs."

Anything in the medical field has stability (as good as it gets however) and would make a good career.

Good luck in your decisions {{{ }}}
