So my two cents on all this idiotic wank.

For those of you who aren't members of fm_alchemist, basically what happened was that an EdWin fan made a chapter 56 icon poking fun at yaoi, with the implication that for FMA, it wasn't canon. Ugh, I hate it when stuff like that happens! People just need to learn to accept other peoples pairing preferences and let it be. You may not like the pairing, heck, you may despise it, but don't bash it! Especially if the person is obviously joking. That's one of the reasons I try to stay out of major fandom groups. The ones I'm in are places where we don't bash pairings even though we discuss them, unconventional or not.

At least there are smart people like you there! ^_^

Ich. FMA seems to be where ALL the wank is nowadays Dx.

But really, in FMA, unless someone comes out and says "I love you" to another character, or they kiss or have sex or something, or they're Hughes, anyone can be paired with anyone else. That's what makes it so appealing/controversial//vulnerable to wank/ADJECTIVE HERE. As long as there's some evidence to support an OTP, people will defend it. The problem is that the majority of the FMA fandom is made up of preteen or teenage girls (who are vicious by nature at that age anyways) who lack the logic or rhetoric to support their views by anything other than just bashing another character or OTP. Which is what makes things like that Anti-anti Winry essay so amusing. When something like that comes up, all those wank comments crumble because they can't be supported by other than just really really stupid opinions.
