What I typically do with books-into-films is just dissociate them from one another. The movies are not made from the books; they just happen to bear a remarkable resemblance to one another. It usually works pretty well ;D

FUCK YES, I'm going as Narcissa Malfoy! The Texas heat might melt me in my long skirt, wig, and frilly high-necked blouse, though. I just joined that comm for the sole purpose of checking out the costume contest-- thanks for linking!
