So the cast list went up this morning.

I am "Allison," a hotbox dancer. SHOCKING, ISN'T IT. I actually have Rachelle's old copy of the script, and I've been looking through it and it appears that, basically, they've just given her a name for the hell of it -- unless I'm really missing something, she doesn't have any lines at all

The only good things I can find about this are that One, it's something to put on my resume, and Two, at least a couple of my friends are ~*~*~*~hotbox dancers~*~*~*~*~ with me.

I know exactly how you feel. I tend to get in stuff like that, too. The talentless people with more friends/connections get the good parts while those of us that can sing/act/be good get stuck in the background.

I'm auditioning for something tomorrow that I'm not too worked up about and I think in April auditioning for the only musical I could ever play the lead in. And I probably won't get it, but I'll pretend to be happy and keep whatever I get. Because you're right, any experience helps even if you don't have lines and it looks good on resumes. Or something.

I dunno. It sucks. DX

The great part is? The people who got the main roles don't HAVE connections, or not any more than I do. It makes no sense whatsoever.
