About the only song of hers that I much liked was "My Funny Honey." And yes, that's exactly what I mean about Tom Wopat -- he was just kind of... there. Unfortunately I've never seen another stage production of it, just this one and the movie and heard the OBC, and I love Richard Gere's Billy. He plays with the character. And it's not all that surprising he's good at it, after all he did start out on Broadway.

I guess I wasn't so much disappointed by the staging as surprised. I think I was expecting it to be flashier, maybe.

Yay theatre indeed!

That "La Quinta" joke is actually from my 7th or 8th grade Spanish teacher. It was the one time during the class I actually thought his jokes were funny.
