*recovers*

*maybe*

Fabulous. I'm new to Sherlock (and mostly the rest) myself. This was magnificently written, all senses engaged, just as Sherlock himself would use. That makes it all the more in-the-moment, drawing me into the story.

I'm somewhat disappointed that in the end, all he did was avoid the moment with John, BUT... it totally fits him. I'm a sucker for angst in all its forms, rather than happy sappy endings (which have their place too).

Quite possibly the longest kissing scene I've been hooked on! Er, and the rest, too. :)

Hope you don't mind, I'm going to check out some more of your stuff!

Well done!

Ah, hello there! I appreciate you even taking time to read this, much less liking it. Being new to the fandom makes bonds between us. =D

Yes, I feel quite the same on the 'avoiding the moment' John thing... which is why I had to go and write a sequel. Far less angsty, but I just couldn't help myself. I need them to be together.

Yesss, about the kissing thing... I do tend to go on about a thing sometimes. Verbose. So very sorry about that. Hope it wasn't too intolerable, though. =)

And feel free! It's what it's up for.

Thanks again.

Thank you, love, and sorry about the angst. I've got a direct sequel to this that's far less angsty and I'll get it up soonish. Though I know this fits in canon better, considering, I just couldn't not put them together. Thanks for reading. <3

I really like it specially the part of the kissing!

I think Sherlock characterization is good, but he will never would think in " oh God or Christ", because he doesn't believe... john speak and think like that thou, with" God yes" and so on...

That is the dialog characterization that was more strikingly wrong to me, about britpicking i'm not so idk about that much, only that John takes his caffeine in the form of hot tea with a splash of milk. :)

But all the kissing expirience and Sherlock first attempt at kissing was really good and in character, John was very good...

Maybe they were too far a little too fast... But the end was really IC because for both of them it is difficult so even if it is sad i think it is in character

Thank you, dear, I especially like the kissing bit myself. Seeing as how I went on about it for quite a while. =)

I appreciate your viewpoint on my characterization. However, while I don't know much about what Sherlock believes according to Doyle, I have heard the words 'dear God' come out of his mouth in the series. In the first episode, in fact. As well as 'oh, hell,' used in episode 2. Which, if you're going to mention a hell it's hard to do so without including a heaven. Though, really, I can see where Sherlock might be an atheist, I just didn't find it hard to believe he'd use 'oh God' 'oh Christ' or even 'oh Jesus,' mainly for the fact that even people who are religious often use these phrases as just that, phrases or expressions without thought to their religion at all. Usually to express disbelief, horror, pleasure, or surprise. Not necessarily belief. But, either/or, sorry if it threw the story off-track for you ( ... )

About tea, there is an awesome meta in sherlockbbc com

And in England as in my country, you have tea in any kind of cup, or plastic cup, or ask for it in a cafe-shop, but in houses it is asumed you want tea and it served in mugs unleast you have special visitor or you are like a rich and/or old fashion person.

And the coffee is normally instant coffee, so you have kettles and electric ones, and coffee machines are an exception in a normal house.

In England tea implied black hot tea with milk and no sugar, but Sherlock takes coffee and tea with sugar, if you wonder about the milk thing , this is why. Take a look at 2.3 Sherlock make tea for Moriarty, and in the first part when Moriarty dance while robbing the crown jewels it is show people of different social status taking their tea and spilling it.

Even soldiers rations have no coffee but tea insteed.

And i look forward for more fic of yours

In my country the difference is that tea imply hot black tea with sugar or swetener of some kind ;) i personally use a cup of 700 ml of

Ah, yes, I know nothing of how you English do your tea thing. In fact just thinking about drinking tea whilst it's hot causes me to make a face, but, then, I'm very American and very Southern and thus I take iced tea and iced tea only.

I don't drink a lot of coffee, either, for that matter, merely pointing out that John seems to imply that he has and does drink coffee.

Though, honestly, instant coffee is a far, far cry from brewed coffee. As is instant tea for that matter. You can immediately taste the difference with that stuff, I don't care what anyone says.

Either way, learn something new everyday. =)

It was indeed, so I'm very happy you enjoyed it. It's always a little nerve-wracking stepping into a new fandom for the first time.

Thanks for reading. =)
