Huh?

Jan 27, 2007 09:56

I've just received an email from Amazon about NCIS Season 3 (Region 2), which I had on pre-order saying that the release date had been delayed. It appears that now it won't be released in the UK until 25th June, 2007.

DVD.co.uk, however, are still showing it as releasing on 5th February, 2007 ( Read more... )

Noooo!!!! That is if it is delayed. I do hope Amazon is wrong. Although part of me wonders if they are delaying S3 because channel 5 have only just started it (but still it would have finished showing the season well before June). What is slightly worrying is I've checked a number of other retail sites (HMV, Play et al) and they don't have S3 listed yet which would suggest a later release date.

Darn it.

Yes, I checked all the other sites too, and saw that it wasn't listed anywhere except DVD.co.uk :-(

In fact I was always a tad wary because Amazon was the only place that had it listed, but . . . One does like to hold on to the good, so . . .

We'll see.

I know. I know.

I was hoping (sometimes I slip from being a realistic-pessimist into being an optimist) that DVD.co.uk is right and Amazon wrong. But given the lack of them appearing on any other on-line shop I've checked (Choices, Play, Sendit), I fear not :-(

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news.

I burbled at ncis_gibbsducky with reasons why I think the Amazon date is right....

Plus, I've had dealings with DVD.co.uk in the past and it wasn't good. They took money for a product they didn't supply. It was not a good experience. So the 'ten foot barge pole and seven people' people rule kicks in here.

Although... there are other ways and means... If you have a multi-region player and access to Playusa.com (when they list it that is...)

I've used DVD.co.uk, many times and they've always been fine.

We do have a multi-region DVD player, always have had, but (this is part of my anal-me) as we have S1 and S2 on R2, we don't like to mix and match. It was the same with M*A*S*H, we started collecting it on R1, then R2 overtook it, but we still waited until it came out on R1 before getting it.

Except both S1 *and* S2 R2 DVDs came out before R1 did.
