Striking! But what is the object in front of the sun? The shape is too perfect to be a mountain. Or is it even on earth?

Hmmm. That's a jolly good question. One to which I don't have an answer. Other than I too am not sure it's even on earth.

Wow!!! This looks like an alien planet, maybe? OTOH, the island and the tree - an acacia, maybe? - look pleasantly familiar, as do the clouds and the beautifully-lit water. The blend of the familiar and the exotic really gives this picture a special vibe!

I think 'wow' really does sum this up. I definitely get the 'alien planet' feel about it. Even though, as you say, it does also look familiar. I'm glad it gives you a special vibe.
