For those who like me keep getting these darn notifications that someone logged in to your LiveJournal account from a new device or location

. I've had a couple the past two days -- both times after I ran "CCleaner", which clears out all that stuff. Most times I don't bother clearing cache and cookies. That's the first time I had the 'login' emails, and I haven't had them since. But most times, I don't even shut down my computer; I usually just 'hibernate' it, so I might not get the emails even if it was a 'new session' thing. .
I've been getting them every day for a week and the only thing I clear is 'history' which is done automatically. But it's helpful to know that it's not just my problem as I thought I'd started doing something wrong!
It's not quite 100% of people who do clear out getting them and those who don't aren't, but it's quite a significant number, so I think there has to be some link.
I haven't had that happen with LJ, but it's happened with other sites. When I logged into Facebook for the first time from my iPhone, Facebook then sent me an email notification. I'm like, "Um, yeah, I know someone else tried to log in as me from another device. It was me!"
It seems so many sites are doing this now. I had it the other day when I had to log into Yahoo groups to approve someone for a group. The thing is whilst it can be a useful tool once it throws up so many errors people will just start ignoring it.
Thanks for your input. I still think there has to be some link as the majority of people who clear are getting them and those who don't aren't, but it seems to be something else as well.
