Hawkeye and B.J. are such a wonderful, heart-breaking pairing, and you've shown that beautifully. In those days, a man did not readily leave his wife for someone else and certainly not for another man. If Hawkeye and B.J. got together at all, it had to be after B.J. considered his responsibilities fulfilled. And Hawkeye wasn't the type to ask B.J. to do anything else.

So they had to wait.

Terrific story, but I've come to expect that of you.
