I don't know if in Costa Rica they have zoo gardens like we know them here in Europe. They don't need any, anyway, because they have all these natural parks where you go and see the animals, in free state. It is rather difficult to spot them by yourself, because they know how to camouflage well, and you, as an foreigner, don't know much about these ( Read more... )

Great pics once again! It's wild how big the bamboo gets, here we only have it in flower pots - lol! I love the hollow, ghostly "clack-clack-clack" sounds it makes when the wind moves through it. :)

Thank you very much :) There was no wind there, so I couldn't hear that. But I think that sound is made when the wood is dry, not alive.

fantastic, fascinating! I particularly love the sloths, I have always been called a "Faultier" when I was little as my preferred occupation was to curl up with a book in some corner :D

Haha I find the sloths to be very simpathic and funny creatures. Curling up in a corner with a book is not bad for preferred occupation.

I braved looking at the spiders and survived!

Sloths are very strange creatures aren't they? Something about their faces - sort of weird/human looking!

What a diversity of life.

I love the way bamboo looks, but can't grow it since it becomes highly invasive.
