I read about that this afternoon. The story started with a soldier from Ft. Hood. Hang in there, sugar. Thoughts and prayers!

I've looked everywhere online for news on the Polk soldiers' deaths and nada. I think it's b/c the Army doesn't want it reported and LA's economy is literally dependent on Polk. But yeah, the Hood deaths are the other deaths. :/

I'm okay; I didn't know any of them but the memorial service was heartbreaking for the soldier. But I am worried about the toll on Spen's platoon. So thanks for the thoughts/prayers.

Holy cow...that's so sad. I read about the Ft. Hood deaths earlier today, but typical of military-related news all it said was "four soldiers are believed to have committed suicide over the past week." I didn't see anything about Ft. Polk, and I can understand why.
I hope Spen and his buddies are holding up okay.

Yeah, talk about giving aid to the enemy - Soldiers would rather kill themselves than come fight you.

Which isn't what the situations are at all, but hell, if the Taliban takes credit for us crashing our own planes, they'll take credit for anything. Turns out the death within the platoon was even more complex than I had thought, and yeah, prayers are definitely needed for everyone in the platoon and in the soldier's family. :/ What a clusterduck.
