[A brief glance at the clock is all she needs to confirm his suggestion.]
Oh! I suppose it was. The last day I remember was the 21st. I hope I haven't worried anyone.
[The worry is quickly replaced by her own hint of fondness. She's not sure what Suzaku is to her here in Somarium, but the boy's right either way -- he's undoubtedly important to her.]
Yes. Suzaku's... very important to me. I truly can't imagine where I would be without him.
[She looks up with a tiny smile -- recognizing the voice easily enough. The dream had its fair share of moments she'd rather forget, so the distraction is certainly a welcome one.]
It's wonderful to see you, Kay. I hope I didn't worry you, being asleep for so long!
[Kay's glad to see Euphie again, but she's still a little worried. Did these comas have after-effects? After all, Stitch was also asleep...and she's heard enough about everyone falling asleep for ages over the network.]
[Euphie's certainly not the type to mind, especially when the "intruding" party is as polite in his address as the Grey Warden is. She offers a bright smile at his query, which only grows further as he continues to speak. There might've been a muffled giggle in there somewhere too.]
Yes, most of them are my siblings. I come from a rather large family. [Which she enjoys very much since she doesn't realise most of them suck.]
Oh, please don't worry, you haven't frightened me at all! It's just such a strange concept to get used to -- sleeping for weeks like that with no warning.
It's lovely to meet you, Alistair. I'm Euphemia li Britannia.
[Euphie's impressed by his actions as well as the tone with which he speaks. She's quick to return the gesture with a light inclination of her own head.]
There's no need to be so formal. Simply Euphemia is perfectly fine -- and if you'd like, you can call me Euphie like the rest of my friends. [She beams brightly.] Mm. Three of my older brothers and my younger sister are here as well.
[She hesitates for a brief moment before inquiring:]
[ sort of kind of was at her side at the time because he's actually a really good knight (just bad at protecting people, it seems), going between her and Schneizel and OH GOD SO HAPPY HE JUST BEAMS. but, he did sit there and watch the dream. the nostalgia is half-appreciated, the dream itself more appreciated, and none of the scenes were unwelcome.
beyond the fever, he's just happy Euphy's awake. he almost moves to hug her. almost. holds himself back, just in case. ]
Ah, almost a month- I'm glad you're awake now, regardless.
[ then, tipping his head. ] Are you feeling alright? No stiff muscles? [ even though she's, um, noodle-y yes. ]
[ action ] ALSDKS OF COURSE IT IS... ;w;naivelysanguineAugust 17 2011, 04:53:45 UTC
[As far as she's concerned, he's the best Knight she could've ever asked for -- so he has no reason to doubt himself. Finding out that poor Suzaku's been left to fret over both of them while they slept -- on top of worrying (or more likely failing to worry) about his own health -- is sure to throw her for a bit of a loop, but for now she's merely content with the pleasant surprise of waking up with him by her side.
She can't help but beam in return, partly because it's Suzaku and partly because that's just who she is. Honestly, she doesn't even think about the possibility of the dream being broadcast. She doesn't see him hold back either, too preoccupied by her own hesitation to reach out.]
It's still so strange to think, sleeping for so long. I hope I haven't worried any of you too much... and yes, I'm perfectly fine now, thank you. But what about you, Suzaku?
[Because stiffness isn't enough of a bother to constitute complaining about at the moment, and he's much more important.]
[ Suzaku enjoyed it! despite the obvious (a fever that'll pass, he knows, so it's really nothing to worry about), he's made sure the air conditioner worked, made sure they were still alive by checking pulses each day (of course), and was otherwise careful with whatever he did. ... obviously he didn't want to trip on anything on his way around the house, so he ended up cleaning and doing laundry and really he's not a housewife but this is the place they're living in s o.
but he enjoyed it. really. even if he acquired an odd sense of haziness in his vision and a habit of staring off and thinking way too hard. ]
I bet. [ a chuckle here. ] Don't worry. As long as you're awake now, there isn't much to worry about. Schneizel is still asleep, though. [ pauuuse as he reaches up and stops halfway to his forehead, brows furrowing and lips pulling into a split second frown before returning to its smile as his hand drops. ] But, I'll be fine.
[ it's not that he is fine, just that he will be fine. but that's always the case with him. ]
[ action ] ♥ ! ALSO I'M SORRY THIS IS LATE /SOBnaivelysanguineAugust 21 2011, 05:20:58 UTC
[Not so sure about that, Suzaku. Sounds a bit housewifey tbh but if he insists... So long as he's alright, Schneizel's alright, and the rest of her loved ones are alright, she's gonna be perfectly content after waking up.
That's a habit that he really ought to break before it gets too bad -- perhaps he should get out of the house a bit more?
There's a thoughtful pause here.]
Brother's asleep as well...? [She's honestly a bit disappointed (and more than a bit worried despite having been fine after her own sleep coma ended) because she wanted to spend more time with all of them, but... That brief frown accompanied by furrowing brows won't go unnoticed. Not a chance, young man.]
Suzaku, what's wrong? Did... something happen while I was asleep?
[This old man feels like he's done nothing more than invade the privacy of others here, but in his defence, with a phone that has such blatant privacy invading features, he can't help but view these dreams, memories, desires and fears. It's not like he can sue the maker, and demand that the feature be removed or anything...
But he's a meddlercaring individual at heart, and he can't ignore things like these when they're shoved right under his nose. He's at a loss for words, but feels the need to say something. He can't just watch something like that, and then shut the device off like nothing happened.
[To be honest, Euphie's not even thinking about the possibility of her dream being broadcast to the entire network when she first wakes up. Once she's been made aware of it, however, she accepts it fairly quickly. It was really only a matter of time, she supposed, and the dream easily could've been much worse.
The concern being shown to her by this stranger -- someone who doesn't know her as a princess and therefore feel obligated to care -- makes her happy.]
Yes, I'm fine now, thank you sir. [She forces a tiny laugh.] I suppose it would help a bit if we were able to control which memories we dream of, wouldn't it?
Ah, well that's good! [He shakes his head at her thank you.] Just making sure, have to check sometimes, you know.
[And it's true, he can't turn a blind eye to this kind of thing. He nods, perhaps a little sadly, at her comment. He's dreading whatever memories he will cook up and share, since he doesn't have a whole lot of happy ones, and some that he'd rather keep to himself.]
That would be convenient, yeah. But I'd personally like to remove this feature completely!
[He says that with such goofy enthusiasm, and a small pout. He can't have his way there, and it sucks.]
That's very kind of you. There aren't enough people that seem to think like that in the world.
[At least, not in her limited experience of the world. Too many people looking out for themselves and not giving enough regard to other people. That's why there was so much hatred in the world.
She gives a bit of a giggle at his next comment, and the way in which it was said.]
Yes, that would be quite nice indeed. I'm afraid you won't have much luck with it, however.

Is he here with you, or you meant where you'd be without him in your life?

He's... [There's a smile in her voice now.] yes, he's here with me -- but I suppose I meant both of those things after all.
