so, shocker. i did terribly on the two (very difficult) midterms i took right after my dog's death a week ago. and now i'm being told by my parents basically what a failure i am and how i can't possibly get into college

trust me, Nina. If *I* can get into university, then anyone can. I've been through that whole 'oh god, I'm going to fail, I'm never going to get there, I may as well just give up' sort of phase. And yes, it sucks. Quite majorly. HOWEVER, it will pass. These are just a bunch of exams. They're not the be all & end all for you and your dreams of going to college. I hope that makes you feel a little bit better, because I really can relate to how you feel right now.

Oh, and I failed my maths exam... So, hey, as long as you pass everything, you're all good. ^_^
