It was early in the afternoon on Friday January 20, 2006 and Naia was a busy girl. Lia's birthday had been recently, and everyone -- practically -- had been poisoned, and Lia and Naia were reasonably sure that it had been based on your blood status. It was strange though, Cody was only sick for as long as Naia had been. And this thread would be IG ( Read more... )

Fridays were his favorite days of the week -- only one class that day, and it wasn't even that difficult of a class. So he had properly slept in, until about ten or so, and gotten some homework done before lunch. After eating, he walked out of the Great Hall, on his way to class, when he spotted his cousin sitting down, so he decided to sit next to her and chat for a bit -- he hadn't done so for a while. "Hey," he said.

"Hey," she said with a smile. "I was just thinking about you." She tucked her book under her leg, and crossed her arms to warm herself. She mentally scolded herself, thinking that she could really just use a warming charm... but she was nothing if not lazy.

"How's your carefree days?" She bit her bottom lip, hoping that he could see a light side to no longer being head boy.

"Really?" he asked, smirking at her, noticing she was cold but not really knowing what to do about it. Any charm he cast would probably backfire, and hey, he needed his own jacket. "I know I'm just that awesome, so it's a natural thing that you would miss me."

At her question, Colin shrugged. "Fine. How are you?"

"Psh," said Naia. "You're not that awesome. If you were awesome enough for me to miss you, I would have said I missed you." She looked at him over one shoulder and rolled her eyes. "I only said I was thinking about you."

Naia sighed. "I'm cold." She patted her pocket, exposing her hand to the air, and pulled out her wand. "But magic takes care of that." She was middling at charms, and so she did a quick one to warm herself. She looked at Colin and asked silently if he wanted one. "But... other than that..." she sighed. "Is it just me, or is the environment at Hogwarts more chilly to the halfblood and muggleborn?"
