Regarding this jacket, what are the stripe/fasteners across the front called, and where do I get them?

I think they're called frogs? One of the sewing books I own has a tutorial on how to make them.

I have the little frogs. I didn't realize that these huge, jacket-eating things were the same thing!

They could be? I'm not sure. I'm definitely no fashion expert. But the closest I've seen to those would be frogs, and they look like highly stylized ones to me.
