Nope not on Ravelry. I don't even know what it is. I am afraid to look, I have a feeling more of my "spare time" would quickly disappear.
I did start a pair of socks this morning. I have the wool for 3 other projects, but it turned out I did not have the right needles. So darnit, had to start something :).

Sweetie, you don't know what you're missing.
www.ravelry.com
You have to sign up for an invitation, but people have been getting on really quick. It's an enormous repository of patterns, yarn information, books, etc. You can post pictures of your stash so you know what you have. You can track your needles and your books. You can surf through thousands of patterns, many of which are free. (Just the free sock patterns that are knitted? Like 2,000 of them.)
Plus, you can join groups of people with similar interests. For example, I'm in a Yankee fan group, a Jane Austen reader group, a Top Chef fan group, that kind of thing. Some of the groups have knit alongs. The Jane Austen one is having a Northanger Abbey read along and you also knit something inspired by the book.
You can friend people just like on LJ and check out their projects and stashes and what and where they've posted on various forums.
It's boggling and WICKED. Go. Now. I'm KnitPrincess over there as well. :)
"Having the Royals visit - I never have been a royalty junkie, so I cannot say I know too many personally. "
Trust me - when you're Baroness, you DO get to meet them, even if you're not a junkie {I certainly wasn't!]! And some of them do become friends, while some of them do remain as just 'Their Maj.'
I am thinking this will end up being one the unexpected perks of the job. I had given far more thought to "day to day" stuff than what happens when Royalty visit.
