Public Post 25/31: It can stop now

Oct 25, 2010 22:41

My "check engine" light went on while driving into work this morning. I have an appointment for my brakes tomorrow afternoon, so *fingers crossed* I'll have no issues driving into work tomorrow morning.

I sure wish they'd have one of these in the lobby of the Toyota dealership:

You drive a Toyota? So do we! I always been told and under the impression that Toyota's don't break down/need extensive servicing LOL. At least not until they get ooolder? The service you wrote about from the dealer last time does sound like our Toyota dealer though. I too hope you'll have no trouble with the car until you bring it in tomorrow -- or rather not even then but well.. I guess the light came on for sóme reason. Though couldn't it be coming on because of the brake issue?

My Toyota has been relatively issue-free. I do have over 100,000 miles on it, and most recent repairs have been more wear and tear than anything else.

As for the "check engine" light--they didn't find anything, so I'll take it as it is!

Ahh so the Toyatos don't break thing IS kinda for real :-) 10k miles is a lot, we just barely managed to get over 35k in the little over 3 years that we've had it. Though granted, we hardly need to make longer trips these days, the furthest away I go by car is to my aunt 2.5 hours away and that's maybe twice, three times a year. My parents live at an hour drive, but the rest of our daily life mostly takes place within our own city limits or just outside it.

Yay for not finding anything for the check engine light! Maybe it indeed was linked to the brake thing somehow. :)
