As an update... so far:

- orecchiete: done
- linguine: all done except the boiling of the linguine
- pappardelle: all done except the boiling of the pappardelle
- pad thai: done
- pho: broth done; should be a breeze from here
- laksa: broth done; just need to steam the clams
- Beijing salad: noodles needed with mixing

- gyoza: filling done, going to enlist people to help fold them up
- sashimi: mackerel is marinating, but should be a breeze
- lingcod: not touched yet
- tofu: steaming
- stir-fried vegetables: I don't really think this is going to take a long time
