ETA Nov 7 09: And Emo!Draco was so worth the movie.  The bathroom emo scene?  YESSSS.  My fangirl was pleased.  Even my friends are aware of my Draco fangirlness; they asked if I'd seen the poster with him on it, which I hadn't.  So then I ran off to see it.  XD

Finally saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince yesterday!  My friends and I headed ( Read more... )

I was a bit disappointed you didn't post your comments about HBP. But it's good you got through so many books. I can't say I read the real book club book. But I read the summary and we never really discuss it beyond a few minutes. Have you seen the discovery Channel show 'The Colony'?

"Although technically there's a 3rd one, but Anita doesn't remember much about it", sounds like date-rape.

I'll either edit this post or talk more about HBP in the next post. I think I fangirled everytime Draco/Emo!Draco appeared. XD

haven't seen "The Colony". Any good? And lol at book club. 'Tis true.

Well, not quite date rape. Bad Guy wanted Anita to have an orgy with many weretigers so he could reclaim his Evil Powers. Anita went "OH HELL NO MOTHER FUCKA" and he went "DUMB BITCH" and rolled her/ mind controlled her. Kinda. Which resulted in Anita waking up with a bunch of nekid guys wondering wtf happened. She has one-line flashbacks, just enough to go , "oh shit, orgy last night."

HBP is nice in that there was a lot of screentime for Draco.

I like that show. With the exception that watching those engineers build gasifiers and generators makes me feel I would definitely not survive in an apocalyptic LA scenario. And it even makes me question my own ability to get enough nutrition in college to stay healthy. In short, it makes me feels stupid.

Hahaha... wow. What kind of book is this?

Anita Blake is a series most people either love or hate. Obviously, I fall in the love category, lol. In the beginning of the series it was more of a muder-mystery-ish book with a supernatural twist, a hint of romance, and lots of snark. I read it mostly looking for a supernatural romance than a murder-mystery, since murder-mystery's not really my thing. But those first few books were really good. However, as the books continued, it started to be more about characterization and sex, lots of it, than the plot. Which is a bit disappointing because I like plot; but I wasn't disappointed enough to really care. XD
