Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler (#1 of 2)

Don't remember if I posted about it yet.  As always, Butler makes you think.  The work is still surprisingly relevant to today despite being published in 1993.  The age-gap in the main relationship was the most thought-provoking thing, I felt; rather mild for Butler I felt.  The issue of religion is ( Read more... )

I haven't got that many books left here standing around. I noted those you've recommended here, I might as well give them a try next. The first two seem to be part of series of books, is that right?

I read a lot so I have a lot of book posts. :) Parable of the Sower was supposed to be book one of a trilogy, but only the first two were written. And Magic Dreams is part of the Kate Daniels series (urban fantasy); the first book is Magic Bites.
