I am used to DC failing which is why I rarely buy their mainstream titles but this makes me want to go to DC headquarters and kick some heads in. What they did to these characters, especially to Catwoman is so vile and hateful it makes me want to weep.

Maybe they'll try to dig themselves out of a hole next issue and have Kory and Jason admit they were playing a joke on Roy. But I doubt it.

Of all the crap that I was expecting to come out of the reboot, I was NOT expecting them to lobotomize Starfire.

Been reading various blogs about this and what I can't figure out is how everyone missed that line between sexually liberated woman and fan-service (honestly men, I promise you there is one). The only thing I can think is that there are very few or no women working, and after what happened at Comic Con with the question of "Where are all the women at DC?" that doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility.

Also, 'men are exploited sexually in comics just as often as women are'! It makes my brain hurt.

I have heard this argument so many times, and from so many different directions, and it invariably makes me want to unleash my inner sociopathic eldritch abomination to stalk through the internet, Sadakolike, to brutally murder ever fucking moron who wastes the electrons to type it. And write the words, "No, asshole, two panels of spandex-clad male ass does not equal thousands of years of institutionalized sexualization and gender oppression." on the walls of their basement lairs in their own blood.

Yeah, I'm having a bad day with this.
