Well, it's not so much the improperly conducted investigation part as the being fired by the Peacekeepers part, as he will eventually say -- at length -- once the pointy-eared assassin of hope and honor makes the scene.

He was fired from the Peacekeepers mainly because of the amulet-dealer incident though, right? Or was there something else (blanking on the wowwiki article I read about it :-).
