i juss read ur msg in desi xtc...the one about how u luv indian culture n stuff...it weird bcoz im indian n sumtimes im ashamed to say im indian bcoz of the stuck up indian people in my neighbourhood....I'd rather ppl think im trini...i wud have posted this there but i closed it w/o thinking n got too lazy to open it...lol o n i wanna be ur friend cuz i dunt really kno many ppl on LJ...mainly cuz im scared if i tlk to ppl they guna be like umm k go away now but u seem interesting :>

Hi! My name is Lucy. I found you by searching for people with same interests one of mine is Indira Gandhi, I was fascinated by her since I was in 5th grade and did a project on her, and she is really the only woman in history I have a ever had passion about. I am not India Indian, but I am Native American. I have always had a love of Indian culture, I have just joined LJ, and want to expand my circle. Hey Lucy, I'm Nafeeza....
I'm so amazed to see that amazement in Indian culture does not always remain within the Indian culture, but manages to radiate outwards. I would absolutely love to have you as a friend. Mind you, I'm very "Indian" when it comes to my entries....Many entries are Indian and/or Bollywood related. (I'm quite a Bollywood Fan :))

Thank you for responding! I've heard alot about Bollywood, and have always wanted to know more. So I will be intrigued by any information or tidbits I read. The Indian culture, I think, attracts people for its vibrancy, beauty, and diversity. I will add you as a friend, hopefully I will be able to read up on Bollywood some more.
I am so heart-stricken by the news recently and the tragedy of the tsunami. My prayers and thoughts are with every family and individual affected. I used to correspond with a girl from Madras and I do not know if she lived near the sea or inland. It's been a long time since we wrote, I do not even have the address any longer.
