Nadia had a few supplies tucked into her backpack and she sat down by the main campfire to wait for Annette.

Annette followed the directions pretty good she thought, and it wasn't long before she came up to the campfire, where Nadia was sitting. "Look who made it?"

Nadia suppressed a smile and looked out over Annette's shoulder. "Were you followed?"

Annette looked back over her shoulder, narrowed her eyes and sort of looked this way and that.

"Nope, Nadia, I wasn't followed." She said, looking back at her. At least she really hoped she wasn't. She didn't think Steerpike was that crazy yet.
