Nadia was awake lying against Walter, and actually had been for some time, though she was doing her best not to show it. Mostly because focusing on her breathing was almost distracting enough to keep her from thinking about things she really didn't want to think about; things that her dreams last night had brought right back up to the front of her

Walter wouldn't be able to say just when he realized that they were both awake, or why, but he did and they were.

Walter stretched lazily and gathered her closer for a kiss. "At least we woke up with our voices."
