just tea i hope

tea always smells so much better than it actually tastes. it really irritates me. i wish i liked tea. i always go to make a cup of tea and think to myself 'this time it will be different!' maybe if i try a new kind or maybe i'm just in the perfect tea mood right now or maybe if i add a pinch of sugar... but no! i end up choking it down, taking big ( Read more... )

this sounds like one of three possibilities:
1) you are way over-thinking tea.
2) this is a metaphorical description of not just tea, but of some other situation in your life
3) you should write novels.

Mk well I totally know what you mean.

BUT

I have found that you can at least sweeten the tea enough that is it bearable. Unfortunately that usually involves ultimately damaging your taste buds. But at times it's worth it.

In other news,

Sometimes the smell satisfies the desire to drink. Maybe you just haven't gotten there yet?

Not if you're happy with the hot cocoa.

But if you get tired of it and maybe want to think again about the tea... you might have to ease into it I guess. Rather than burn your tongue and shock your senses.

P.S: you know when you go to chinese restaurants and they serve you tea...well i put 5 packets of sugar in the little cup and its just right :)

one time my mom took me and my sister to a tea shop and made me drink caramel tea because she thought i would like it. it smelled wonderful but aparently my nose was lying to me because it was disgusting.
anyways, i guess i'm saying...i know what you mean!
