New project

I started a pair of mittens for my daughter this afternoon. After walking to school in 35* and some strong winds this morning, I think it's time for them. Hopefully I can make them the right size!

What if you traced around your daughter's hand on a piece of (empty) cereal box, then cut it out so you could check the size without your daughter being there.

I may even try that with my daughters, though their hands are closer to the same size as my own. :)

That is a fantastic idea! I was using the sleeve of her sweatshirt for the wrist width, but tracing her hand would help with her finger length.

Thanks! I bought it forever ago simply because it was pretty and it was on sale. :) It's also very soft.

Thank you. Her new coat is pink, so I'm hoping it'll match/have enough pink in them when they're done. :)
