Today's news:

- Essay opposition. It went fairly well and most things they recommended me to change in the essay I agree about. But there was one thing the lovely "supervisor" of mine said that I didn't like at all. She wants me to look for the word "nice" in one more novel now (that's what I did with Bridget Jones's Diary), and I'm afraid I don't ( Read more... )

Kanske var det just därför :) När man är "high on life" klarar man mer än vanligt.

Haha. Ja, kanske.. o_O Bra eller dåligt? :P Nej, men.. jag förstår vad du menar. Jag ville inte att hela ansiktet skulle synas bara, för det blev inget fint. Sen var jag blöt i håret också efter promenaden hem i ösregn ^^;

Rebecca, I don't think that t-shirt could have found a lovelier home. I'm glad you are enjoying all your "swag" (you can look that up at http://www.urbandictionary.com). I'm not glad to hear about your so-called "supervisor". But, I'll tell you what I would do if I were you: I would go to http://www.gutenberg.org and look through the catalog of public domain books. For example, I went there and searched for Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. I downloaded the text version of the book (took about 10 seconds) and then did a search in my browser (in Internet Explorer it is just Control+F) for the word "nice". I found it right away ( ... )

Thank you! That's a great idea, and I had thought of borrowing an e-book from our library actually, but there were hardly any books in English there :/ And gutenberg.org is great (I think you've sent me the link before..?), but I'm looking for newer books, written the last few ten to five years or so. I suppose there aren't any there..? Still, good site.

Thanks for teaching me a new word! :D My "swag" wasn't free though, but I did get a free rain mac thrown in ^^

I wish you the same!

I went to Amazon.com and did a search on "The Da Vinci Code" (I'm one of eight people in the entire USA that have NOT read the book). I then did a "Search Inside This Book" and found a few examples of "nice". I'll send
the graphic to you at your email address. I hope this helps you, because
you need to be out having fun and not running around to libraries.

All my best.
