MLS is my local league. I like it, even though sometimes it's retarded (oh hai guys did you know that BECKHAM IS COMING OMFG LOL?!?). The level of play is decent, and the teams are pretty even - no La Liga "oh will Real Madrid or Barcelona win this year" or EPL "which of these four teams will will" or Ligue 1 "how long has Lyon been winning"

The conferences are just unnecessary. I can see for baseball and American football and basketball and hockey since those leagues have 30+ teams each, but for a league with 13? Having it set up like that isn't going to draw anyone in from other leagues.
Me too. :)

But a friend of mine who's in Ottawa has gone to a few games for their team in the USL, the Ottawa Fury, and she quite enjoys them. So yeah, it's definitely not as bad as everyone thinks. I wonder if they'll ever start doing the promotion/relegation thing? I don't know if the sport has caught on quite that well here for them to consider that, though it would be cool. Especially for teams that don't draw a lot of fans to begin with, I don't know how they'd cope with the idea of promotion/relegation between divisions.
Which MLS team do you support, by the way?

I went to a Cleveland City Stars/Columbus Crew (it was mostly their fringe/younger guys playing) exhibition the other day, they announced there were about 2000 there, which looked about capacity. I don't think they'll ever have promotion/relegation here. One, because a lot of people I know are too retarded to understand the concept ("So it's like AAA baseball? Are they farm clubs?") and two, the investors aren't going to want to lose the money by going down. Maybe in a few decades, if USL and USL-2 become somewhat profitable.
The Crew. Same state, probably going to college near Columbus, so it's sort of a proximity thing, ha. I like Chivas, too.
Is that you in your icon? It's cute.
