Ideas Machine Part Zero

I haven't found many books that tell you how to come up with ideas for comics. There are loads of good books about graphic storytelling, or what size to draw your comics, and what type of brushes to use. A few of them give some suggestions about where to find topics; and others give you some ideas about structure, and mention the narrative arc, but I've never found a good book that tells you how to get from an idea to a story for a comic strip.
So I bought a machine to do this for me. It was a bit slow, but it did the job.



Trouble is, it stopped working about six months ago....
I think I've finally figured out what each bit does. So I'm going to explain over the next few posts...
