They screwed up the appointment, but we still got in to see someone after waiting for two hours. So, approved, will get money, they can't say how much, but I might find out in the next week or so ( Read more... )

How can they know you will get money but not know how much?

And yay for perverted use of government offices! ;)

They need to actually contact the banks and make sure they have the right information and everything, and they are (tooootally understandably, when you consider the freakouts they must have to deal with on a regular basis) unwilling to give estimates. People would lose their SHIT if they were told something and got another thing and it wasn't in their favor. So, totally understandable. Not what I was HOPING for, but . . . she said I should know next week, and if I haven't heard something or gotten a deposit, I have her number and extension.

I actually trust that they'll make the deposit (I just typed "despot" LOL) within the next few business days. I just expect it to be, like, $0.34 or something. -_-

*FINGERS CROSSED FOR GOOD THINGS!!!!!*

Also, I do get a kick out of spending gubmint money (and/or money from my terrible mother) on things they'd disapprove of -- same thing for time spent waiting in offices writing pr0n!

<3!

I'm just catching up after a bit of absence from LJ, so I'm not yet fully aware of the recent context for this (I'm working my back in chronology), but I'm pleased for your good turn of events. :)
