Do not want.

And we just had ourselves a tiny little earthquake. Felt like having your feet on the floorboards of an idling truck, but I was napping in bed so it felt like a big cat scratching itself just out of smacking reach. Never felt one before. Can't say I care for it, but it was kind of cool ( Read more... )

I felt it, too. It was the oddest sensation. At first I thought the winds had picked up again, but then I realized my chair wouldn't be shaking and neither would my drink if it were in the wind outside. Then it kept going and going and going.

Not something I want to experience again, but you're right, it was kind of cool.

Even I felt it this time. I was asleep and woke up to a shivering. I thought it was Randy, or me. Then I touched him and realized it wasn't him, it wasn't me, went "Hunh. Wonder if that's an earthquake?" then fell right back asleep. *snorts*

*lol*

IDK if I would have noticed it if I'd still been napping (and having inexplicable dreams). It was very mild. Sargon had just come in to wake me up and was sitting on the bed with me, and then it came and went before either of us could really do anything.

And so much for animals sensing earthquakes. They slept right through it.

Hope you are feeling less crappy today. <3

Haha. Living in Christchurch, NZ, I know alll about earthquakes. And yeah, the little ones are kinda neat. And then they get to this stage where it's "Oh...that was a bit freaky" and then "Holy God what the fuck is the world ending ohhhhhh christ I'm so fucking tiny and the world could destroy me at any minute fuck fuck fuck shit peninsulas!"

My apologies, but I am laughing SO HARD RIGHT NOW. I think it was the peninsulas.

And to add something to my comment, the guy who runs the storm chasing tour I'm going on next year said, "The 4.7 earthquake was only an aftershock of my Christmas tree of lights crashing to the ground," on Facebook. Heh.

But 4.7?? In OK?? That's impressive!

Oh, the USGS is reporting it as a 3.3 though.

Oh, nevermind, there were 3 earthquakes, and the strongest was a 4.7!

Sorry for continuously posting. This is the last of them. *LOL*

Crap, THREE? Wow. O_O

I honestly thought for a moment it was my fattest cat vigorously chewing her backside. I guess Fish is about a 3.3 on the Richter Scale. That sounds about right.
