Health crap accomplished.

Well, my doctor is back in practice, temporarily housed in a small clinic but soon to move to his own place. This is fantastic news. This is the doctor who, when I couldn't pay for meds, made sure I had samples to get me through. He's a good guy. Seeing him again was very nice, even though I'd just gotten up and was super-groggy ( Read more... )

I'm glad you're not too concerned about the liver enzymes. It's probably nothing. My docs were about to send me for a liver ultrasound because mine were elevated for so long, but a med change and poof, they went back to dead normal.

That's great you were able to see your awesome doctor! Pushing below 2 on your TSH sounds like an excellent idea, and hopefully it does happy things to your brain.

Yum, he can be my cabaña boy anytime! :)

I wonder if thyroid issues would explain my numbness/tingling/cramping in my leg that's been driving me insane for the last few months. It's excruciating and so far all I can come up with is diabetes (not likely) and DVT (fucking terrifying if so). Do you have much problem with swelling/numbness in any of your extremities? It's a side effect I've heard a few people with thyroid issues complain of, so I'm trying not to panic too much for the next three months until I have health coverage and can get it checked out.

So glad you were able to see your good doctor, and get some answers and adjustments made. It makes all the difference in the world.

It's not one I've had, but I haven't had any problems with my extremities/muscles/so on except getting cold, and having my legs go to sleep a lot, even when I've been seriously undermedicated.

Honey, that's like a third of the medication I take daily. If you're a walking pharmacy, what's that make me? *tease* ;)

Elevated liver enzymes are concerning but honestly, it depends how much. It might be a "keep an eye on it" thing. And some meds can have that effect, too. Storme had that happen with an anti-inflammatory he was on; went off the med, poof, back to normal. As long as they're keeping an eye on it, it's nothing to worry about. :)
