Question(s) about the site: are you planning on using ads, or just the donations? If you are not going the ad route, will you be offering some form of an RSS feed for members? I know WordPress can do "snippet mode" feeds where it shows the first bit of a post, and you have to click through to see the whole thing, which people running ads usually do (and I usually hate, because I want to read it in my RSS reader by preference...).

I ask mainly because it's a lot more convenient for me to add something to Google Reader than it is to remember to click a bookmark with my sieve for a memory...

We'll be offering an RSS feed for sure, and I'm not planning on ads. That might change, but the RSS feed won't.

Hooray for RSS feeds! I also can't keep up with dynamic sites without them.

If you do end up going with ads at any point, though, I know there are plugins that let you append ads to feed posts, so you get ad revenue even if they don't click through. That's a nice compromise for those who hate clicking through.

I can't wait until the site launches!

The very cool thing is that the site will allow you to manage your account yourself: pick username/password, set amount of donation for when it is convenient for you. It supports RSS and we will do everything we can to make it as user-friendly as possible. It's not actually Wordpress, but Joomla built by someone who *really* knows what they are doing (ie Not Us). But if there are issues or problems we will absolutely want to address those. I think everybody is really going to like it.

I'd like to know if you had any reservations or blocks about writing and publishing sex, and how you got over them. Modesty and shame ingrained by your parents, etc.

Oh, good one. For those "I actually typed this with my eyes closed, wincing" moments.

I'm interested to know how you strike a balance in your writing between 'smutty' and 'crass', if you get what I mean?

Oh, you must do *something* on comedically badly written smut, and top phrases that Should Never Be Used ;)

Oh, something I'd been meaning to mention to you, and somewhat related to the topic . . .

Remember when you asked for suggestions for a strap-on harness that a male-bodied person could wear over their existing equipment? You got a few links, and one of those was to the SpareParts Joque Harness.

I would like to take a moment to say thankyouthankyouthankyou for posing this question to the readership, and more thankyous to whomever linked that harness. It is AWESOME. We got one last Christmas, and we loves it.

Just me wanting to let you know one of the ways your writing and research for said writing has made at least one part of my life much bouncier and happier. :)

Oh, and I do have a question, or more properly, a possible jump-off point:

Most BDSM or D/s porn has scenes written from the perspective of the person on the bottom. Rarely does anyone write about the inside of the top/dominant's head. Why do you think that is, and which perspective is easier for you/do you prefer to write from/is just plain more fun to write from?

. . . That is a really awesome question. Wow. I'm glad I'll have some time to think about it!

And awesomecakes on the harness thing! Glad I could, however indirectly, be of service! *thumbs up*
